Set in over 170 acres of rolling countryside, the outdoor Folk Museum tells the story of life in early 1900's Ulster. Choose between a typical Ulster town and the beautifully restored Cultra Manor for the traditional wedding of your dreams.
From Christian ceremonies in beautifully restored churches such as Omagh Meeting House to contemporary declarations of love in Cultra Manor we have something for everyone.
Cultra Manor
Cultra Manor is set in the very heart of The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum and commands spectacular views across Belfast Lough. Dating back to 1902 Cultra Manor retains much of its traditional architectural splendour with original period features and detailing. There is a rare exclusiveness when hiring the Manor for a wedding with only one wedding per day permitted to take place. Couples have unlimited private access to the Manor and use of its beautiful grounds which is virtually impossible to find elsewhere.
Depending on the number of guests there are four different room options at Cultra Manor - The Kennedy Room, Evans room, Conor Room and Ferguson Room.

Omagh Presbyterian Meeting House, located in Ballycultra Town
Omagh Presbyterian Meeting House is a beautiful meeting house perfect for the more traditional wedding ceremony. The meeting-house was built in 1717 on its original site on Dublin Road, Omagh. This is a barn church building in the shape of an elongated T. It is furnished as it would have been around 1900 and is lit with oil lamps and candles for a truly unique atmosphere. The ceremony can then be followed by a reception in the Ballycultra tearooms or Cultra Manor.

Ballycultra tearooms
Dine in period elegance in the Ballycultra Tearoom, providing an intimate setting, with interiors furnished in Edwardian splendour. Exquisite table settings and an excellent menu selection combine with period elegance provide a special and memorable evening. Receptions can be arranged for up to 100 people after 6pm in the evening.

Marquee Sites
There are a number of marquee sites available at Ulster Folk & Transport Museum if you are having large numbers at your wedding. These include:
- Site 1: The lawn to the back of Cultra Manor
- Site 2: The lawn to the side of the Manor or the front lawn of the Manor.
- Site 3: Lawn directly in front of the Omagh Meeting House in the Folk Museum.

Set in over 170 acres of rolling countryside, our impressive venue is a perfect backdrop for wedding photography. We offer a variety of interesting and accessible locations including houses, farms, shops, a bank, pub, schoolhouse, silent cinema and Edwardian tearoom. There is also photographic opportunities at the award-winning Transport Galleries where Ireland’s most comprehensive transport collections are displayed.

Car parking
There is free car parking at Cultra Manor for up to 43 cars, and overflow parking for a further 97 cars is available at the Folk Museum car park approximately 200 yards from the Manor.
Location
Cultra Manor is situated 7 miles east of Belfast, near Holywood, on the main Belfast to Bangor Road (A2), just 15 minutes outside Belfast City Centre with excellent access by road, rail and bus and close to Belfast City Airport.
