American Independence Day will be celebrated at the Ulster American Folk Park with an electric performance of Cajun fiddle swing music by Louisiana band, L’Angelus.
On Sunday 4th July the band made up of siblings, Katie, Paige and Stephen Rees, will be performing their unique combination of Louisiana music traditions at the Ulster American Folk Park. The sounds of Cajun music, saxophone and New Orleans influenced R&B will be interspersed with old rock, country and motown tunes performed by the energetic trio.
Now seasoned performers, the band began their careers in the mid 1990’s, performing with their mother and brother throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States under the name, Linda Rees and the Lucky 4. They then branched out across American and Europe as a three piece band and are now receiving international recognition for their unique style of music and enthusiastic performances.
