The Ulster American Folk Park got a fresh boost today with the opening of a new American Frontier building from Tennessee.  The Rogan House, an original brick plantation house, was first built by Ulster immigrant Francis Rogan in Sumner County, Tennessee, in 1825.

On Tuesday 5th February, 120 schools were connected via video-conference to one of Ireland’s best-selling children’s authors, Marita Conlon-McKenna, to talk about her book 'Under the Hawthorn Tree', the first installment of her world famous Children of the Famine Trilogy.
