This spectacular contemporary space in the middle of the Museum stretches up four stories to the roof and opens to the Window on Our World. This is a beautiful sophisticated space which requires little dressing due to the clean lines and glass balconies overlooking the dining space. This is destined to become one of Belfast’s premier public spaces.

As there is an open flow between the restaurant and welcome area there is potential to combine both seating capacities to increase banqueting facility to 360.

 Belfast Room

One of the original galleries of the Museum which opened in 1929, this beautiful space has been brought back to its former glory. A grand yet intimate room, the Belfast Room is ideal for smaller dinners. It has its own private entrance off the stranmillis road if you wish to use this. The adjoining hall is perfect for pre-dinner drinks.

All of the spaces are fully accessible and there are bathrooms located near the room on the ground floor. Automated cloakroom facilities are also available.

Ulster Museum Art Galleries

Located at the top of the Museum, the art galleries provide a unique venue for your very special event. Housing internationally significant collections of Irish and contemporary European art, these beautiful galleries will add a very special ambience to your event. As they host travelling exhibitions and house priceless art, there are varying restrictions on the use of these galleries.

Car parking

No parking is available in the grounds of the Ulster Museum. There is on-street parking in the surrounding area.

The Ulster Museum is situated in Belfast's Botanic Gardens, right in the heart of the University area of South Belfast, approximately 1 mile from the city centre.
