Over 100 visitors attend opening of photographic competition

The prize winners in this year’s photographic competition were announced as over 100 visitors attend the opening of the exhibition. Sponsored by Imaging Solutions and judged by Justin O’Neill, the overall winner of the Bennett’s cup showed originality in capturing walkway in Newcastle that most photographers may have ignored.
The judge also particularly liked the black and white image looking down from a height inside the Ulster Museum by Paul Eliasberg which used conventional film and dark room printing techniques.

Winners included, Sara Clarke (1st prize colour and winner of the Bennetts cup), Phyillis Patterson (2nd prize Colour), Paul Eliasberg (1st prize Black and White), Brian Mason (2nd prize Black and White), Paul Eliasberg (1st prize Historic Armagh), Briand Mason (2nd prize Historica Armagh), Aaron O'Neill (1st prize U18), Julia Frazer (2nd prize U18), Luke McIlwaine (1st prize U12) and David (2nd prize U12).
