Toy collection goes live
Published: 06 January 2011
Armagh County Museum has a collection of over 400 toys and most were donated in the 1980's by Professor Ronald H Buchanan.
He had received them as presents when he was a boy but many had not been played with and are still in exceptional condition.
They are typical boys' toys of the 1930s and 40s such as model aeroplanes, ships, soldiers and Dinky cars. There are also several detailed military model of Astra Pharos Ltd and many farm and zoo animals by Britains Ltd and J Hill & Company.
