A night at the Museum
Situated beside the Ulster American Folk Park and tucked in at the base of the Sperrin Mountain Range lies the Residential Centre and Museum Restaurant.
The Centre is situated on the North West Passage Tourist Route five miles North of Omagh on the A5 Road from Omagh to Londonderry and aims to serve the needs of Schools, Colleges, Youth groups, Teachers, Youth Leaders and other Training Organisations.
The Residential Centre offers accommodation for up to 46 people in a range of rooms.
Our En Suite Rooms have tea/coffee making facilities as well as Televisions, with each room sleeping two Divan Style.
Our eight dormitories sleep from 4 - 7 persons each in bunk beds, bed linen supplied.
Each unit contains its own W/C and showering facilities.
All our rooms have up to date Keyless entry systems (using swipe cards) to ensure the safe keeping of visitors.
The Centre offers a wide range of facilities including:
- Modern Hostel type accommodation (ie) 2 & 4 bedded rooms
- Full restaurant facilities
- Recreation area with comfortable setting
- Seminar rooms
- TV, Video & DVD, Snooker, Table Tennis
- Excellent laundry & drying facilities
The Centre is an excellent Venue for meetings, conferences and training days. With this in mind the Centre can provide:-
- Full catering arrangements
- Overhead & Digital Projector
- TV, Video & Flip Charts
- Photocopying & Fax
Residential Centre groups who wish to avail of learning programmes and activities in the Ulster American Folk Park must pre-book these activities with the Education Department in the Folk Park before confirming their residential centre booking.
In addition to the normal range of programmes and activities available to schools a range of extended programmes are available specially devised for residents of the Centre.
