One of the most interesting is a Short Sealand flying boat.  It was designed and built in Belfast in 1952 for a wealthy Egyptian. This twin-engined aircraft was originally fitted with a bookcase and a wine rack, in keeping with her status as a flying yacht.

"The Flight Experience" is an exciting exhibition, developed in partnership with Bombardier Aerospace. The exhibition enables young visitors to discover for themselves the principles of flight, explore the history of aviation and understand Click to enlarge: Space exhibition at the Ulster Folk & Transport Gallerythe process of making a successful aircraft, in a dynamic and entertaining way. Adults too will find the archive film footage and CD ROM material full of fascinating facts on aircraft, flight and the aerospace industry.
