BT 40 Year Service Awards
BT held its 40 Year Service Dinner amongst one of the largest and widest ranging transport collections in Europe, the Irish Railway Gallery in the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum. 200 guests enjoyed a drinks reception at Belfast Central before travelling in style by steam train to the Transport Museum. Visitor guides in traditional 1900s style costume greeted everyone as they arrived at Cultra railway station and accompanied everyone with lanterns to the Irish Railway Gallery for dinner.
Andrea Mockford from BT Events Ireland said “A brief and sincere note on behalf of BT to thank the Events team at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum for helping ensure our 40 Years’ Service Dinner was a huge success.
The rail gallery is not without its challenges as a venue, but it is a stunning location, offering a totally unique setting which, with a little lighting and dressing, was transformed into a beautifully atmospheric venue.
Special thanks must go to caterer Catherine Craythorne and her team. She showed a high level of service and professionalism throughout. The food was beautifully cooked and impeccably presented, and the well trained staff carried out their duties unobtrusively but, at the same time, with smiling enthusiasm.
May I also thank those behind the scenes for their assistance on the day, the operations team led by Nick, and in particular, the two visitor guides, Ken and Henry. Their knowledge of the history of the rail galleries was integral to the whole back in time concept of our event and their willingness help out with other tasks was invaluable.
It was a fantastic and memorable night. And arriving by steam train made for a magical once in a life time experience that few will forget.”
