Ulster Museum, BelfastThe current building has been established in the Botanic Gardens since 1929, although the origins of the collections can be traced back to 1821. The museum was transferred from Belfast City Council (then Belfast Corporation) to a Board of Trustees in 1962, acquiring new status as a National Museum.
