Armada

The Armada collection at the Ulster Museum attracts tourists from all over the world. Through a series of engaging activities and an interactive visual presentation students will explore the background to the Spanish Armada. They will take on the role of curators preparing for an exhibition and will work in groups to identify the objects excavated from the wreck of the Girona and discover what they tell us about life on board this sixteenth century Spanish ship. They will then explore the Armada gallery to see the real objects and assess the impact of the exhibition.
