This half day course will explain how to use pheromone lures to try and attract three species (Red-tipped, Currant and Thrift) of this elusive family of moths. We will cover, where to look, timing, what parameters to record, how to store and use the lures and what will constitute a record. We will also look at how to find and record signs of another species of clearwing, the Lunar Hornet Moth. Above all the course will stress that extreme patience is a virtue. Lures will be available on short term loan.

Leader: Dave Allen

Location: Cultra Manor, Training Room
