The War at Sea Around Ireland 1914-18

As part HMS Caroline’s Jutland commemoration events, author, Guy Warner, will bring us on a journey where he delves into the ‘The War at Sea Around Ireland’.
He will investigate the naval war against the U-boats of the Imperial German Navy as waged by the RN, USN, RNAS, RAF and USNAS from bases all around the coast of Ireland in 1914-18. He will also explain how the campaign was a vital part of the war effort and was crucial to the Allies eventual success.

Guy Warner is the author of 28 books and booklets on aviation past and present and has written hundreds of articles for magazines in the UK, Ireland and the USA. He now lives in Greenisland, Co. Antrim with his wife Lynda. He also has two grown up daughters and three grandchildren. He also reviews books for several publications, gives talks to local history societies etc and has appeared on TV and radio programmes, discussing aspects of aviation history.
